The manufacturer strongly recommends applying 3 layers of LipSense lipstick for a long-lasting effect. The first layer connects with our PH, the second gives color, the third protects against food, drink and other external factors.

This does not mean that 2 layers will stick worse. It all depends on the pH of the mouth. You’ve probably noticed that different colors stick to your lips slightly differently. Some stay for a long time, others for a very long time 😉

LipSense lipsticks contain mineral pigments that react with the PH of the lips, which determines the time they stay on the lips.

Our advice: if you don’t want to apply 3 layers of LipSense lipstick, try 2. You may find that this is enough. If not, stay with 3 as recommended by the manufacturer.
